- L’entrain de la SIPI-Bénin et de l’APIEx salué
Acteur important dans la mise en œuvre de la plateforme industrielle de Glo-Djigbé-Zè (GDIZ), le ministre d’État chargé du Développement et de la Coordination de l’action gouvernementale, Abdoulaye Bio Tchané a, mardi 18 juin 2024, procédé à la constatation du niveau d’évolution des travaux sur le site. Occasion pour les responsables de la SIPI-Bénin et de l’APIEx d’évoquer leurs besoins et les défis à relever pour l’atteinte des objectifs.

Soutien de 1er rang au développement de la Zone industrielle de Glo-Djigbé-Zè (GDIZ), le Ministre d’État chargé du Développement et de la Coordination de l’action gouvernementale, Abdoulaye Bio Tchané rivalise, aux côtés de la SIPI-Bénin et de l’APIEx, d’ardeur pour une pleine réalisation dudit projet. Après décembre 2023, l’autorité ministérielle a, mardi 18 juin 2024, tenu une séance de travail avec l’équipe de la Société d’investissement et de promotion de l’industrie (Sipi-Bénin) et celle de l’Agence de promotion des investissements et des exportations (APIEx). Intervenant au lendemain de l’exportation de 80 mille pièces de vêtements « Made in Benin » vers l’Europe, cette rencontre a été l’occasion d’évaluer l’état d’avancement de la zone, notamment le point des travaux d’aménagement de la 2ème phase, l’installation des investisseurs agréés et les questions relatives aux conditions de travail des employés. Avec plus de 10 unités déjà installées et opérationnelles, des livraisons de produits « Made in Benin » faites, des milliers d’emplois générés, Abdoulaye Bio Tchané n’a pas manqué de mots pour saluer l’entrain des différents acteurs opérant au sein de la plateforme. « Je suis particulièrement heureux de constater la bonne avancée de tout ce qui a été fait ici. Nous avons à ce jour plus de 12 entreprises qui sont installées et qui sont opérationnelles. C’est plus de 12.000 travailleurs qui sont ici et qui gagnent leur vie du fait de cette zone », a avancé, fièrement le ministre d’Etat. Se réjouissant de ce que des produits « Made in Benin » s’exportent déjà vers d’autres contrées, il a, à l’occasion, insisté sur l’importance de rendre disponibles les matières premières pour ne pas que la zone chôme. « La disponibilité des matières premières brutes est importante. Nous voulons que ces produits agricoles soient transformés au Bénin pour créer davantage de valeurs ajoutées. Ce faisant, nous allons garder la main d’œuvre. D’ici 10 ans, nous projetons plus de 300 mille emplois. Fournir de la matière première à ces unités est une question d’intérêt national », a assuré Abdoulaye Bio Tchané. Convaincu de ce que cela relève du sursaut patriotique, le ministre d’Etat s’est empressé d’appeler l’ensemble des Béninois à faire des efforts pour sécuriser lesdites ressources. « Chacun de nous, croit-il, doit être gardien de ces matières premières ».
Créer de meilleures conditions aux employés de la GDIZ
Attentif aux doléances du DG de la SIPI-Bénin, Létondji Béhéton, le ministre d’Etat Bio Tchané a, au cours de la séance de travail, pris l’engagement de trouver rapidement, des solutions aux difficultés de logement et de transport des employés de la zone, soulevées dans les échanges. « Nous allons résoudre ces problèmes très rapidement », va-t-il rassurer. Ce défi, à l’en croire, doit être relevé pour anticiper les prochaines charges de la zone, notamment, les 14 unités additionnelles avec plus de 35 mille emplois créés sur le site, d’ici fin 2024.
