The African Development Bank (AfDB) is working to implement a new ten-year strategy (SD 2023-2032), which will replace the current one (2013-2022). As such, a survey on the formulation of the strategy was launched this Thursday, August 18, 2022.
As part of the formulation of its new Ten-Year Strategy 2023-2032, the African Development Bank (AfDB) is conducting external consultations to ensure that the specific needs and expectations of its clients are well understood and taken into account. Thus, the Group initiated the preparation of this document through an online survey which was designed to collect valuable information from a wide range of stakeholders. This step will define the strategic orientations and critical paths for the next decade. Target respondents are multilateral development banks, the private sector, civil society organizations, academic and applied research institutions. The consultations will also provide an opportunity for various stakeholders to bring different perspectives to shape the Bank’s Africa Transformation Strategy. They will also provide an opportunity to deepen existing partnerships and forge new ones, as the continent expects to face an unprecedented set of challenges in the next decade. Note that the 2023-2032 strategy should provide a vision for the Bank on how it can build on its significant achievements from the past decade to accelerate growth and inclusive, green and resilient development in Africa.
