The national press joins the commemoration of the 3rd edition of the « Local Consumption Month ». The Union des Professionnels des Médias du Bénin (UPMB) and the Chambre de Commerce et d ‘Industrie du BÉNIN (CCI BENIN) invited some 60 journalists from the print, audio and audiovisual media to the headquarters of the consular institution on the morning of Wednesday 12 October 2022 for a coffee debate. » I consume locally, I build my country » is the theme of the talk in which the Secretary General of the CCI BENIN, Raymond ADJAKPA ABILE and the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (mic), Ebo SACRAMENTO took part in it. This exchange session aims to respond to a need for information from media professionals on the initiative to promote local productions. A partnership model that gives media professionals the opportunity to comment on their role in increasing the visibility of products and other local offerings to consumers. For Zakiath LATOUNDJI, President of the UPMB, the massive and remarkable presence of press actors is not the result of chance; it is a sign of a reaffirmed commitment to accompany Benin’s development work. The first of several panels to be organised during the month of October, this café debate was an opportunity for the Secretary General of the ICC BENIN to invite media professionals to focus in their publications on local productions with high added value and whose impact is significant for the national economy. Officially launched in the afternoon of Tuesday 11 October 2022 by the Minister of Industry and Trade, this 3rd edition of the Local Consumption Month is dedicated to the livestock and fishing sector, a reminder made to women and men in the media by Ebo SACRAMENTO. He hoped for a frank, sustained and qualitative collaboration with the national press so that Beninese know-how would radiate in Benin and around the world.
